I don’t know my new home {yet}
Ok, so you know that feeling when you are eagerly anticipating something? Like so excited you can hardly sleep? Yeah, well that’s how I felt about getting BTBW switched over from Blogger to WP.
And it finally (officially) was finished last night…..and I’m disappointed.
It just wasn’t what I was expecting. Everyone says how WP is so much more user friendly, etc but I am completely and utterly lost. Am I actually on the write right (see even my spelling is wonky) page to post?
I wanted my blog to look EXACTLY like it did over at Blogger and the hosting company did their darnedest, but some things just didn’t transfer correctly and now the blog just looks cold and uninviting (shiver).
I was even thinking of putting up a UNDER MAINTENANCE post and directing you all back to Blogger until I could finish it, but I’m not sure.
I emailed my blog designer because I’m read for a new design, but it will take 12-14 weeks for her to get to me. So in the meantime I’m Googling and hitting up forums trying to figure out how to make it better.
The most frustrating part came when trying to get my Google Friend Connect to show up. I hear I can take all of you’s with me, but I can’t seem to find the damn dashboard to change the URL.
I literally was so frustrated last night that I was crying and Shawn was trying his best to be supportive but I know in his mind he’s like “Dude its a damn blog. chill.” Eventually I was able tochill (by about 3 am).
So faithful lovely readers, bear with me ok? And if you know of any great “Learn WordPress for dummies” articles, blogs, forums, just shoot ‘em my way.
*Make sure you update your feeds & bookmarks with the new URL*
Thanks for reading!

I am weary of WP. I want to get my own domain but am highly considering doing that through blogger. I guess I just don’t like change,but I do love the way WP does their leave replies. mmm
good luck on the change I am sure you will grow more accustomed to it. And it really doesn’t look bad.
