Rox My Sox-this week

Here I am wanting to finish off the long & draining day I had with a nice chilled glass of Moscato & mid pour I get this strange kick in my stomach.
Thanks for the reminder kid.
Instead that glass of water was a nice little substitute.
I’m proud of my internet-ness this week because I wrote TWO post here {not including this one} PLUS I actually did some reading of other stuff so that means I have a collection of things that rox my sox for this week.
What I’m thinking when I’m pinning-This post from Jill @ Baby Rabies gave me a good giggle, because, seriously? Especially the last one. Crafting is great, but like she said “Seriously you can buy that!”
Midwives Are the New Status Symbol- A good post from Being Pregnant @ Babble about a new current mom trend. As I said in my comment on the post, if this is in fact a new trend its a good. Hopefully it’ll help change things with maternity care.
Blogging Faux Pas-The Redux- I think I found this via Pinterest but it’s a good post about what not to do with a blog from Mrs. Monologues. As many times as this stuff has been said I can’t tell you the amount of blogs I come across that make these same mistakes OVER & OVER.
Do-Follow vs. No-Follow- This week I was approached my a PR person with some request I had never had before so I headed over to my friendly local FB blog group & asked how to handle it & was pointed to this great article {thanks Jamie} from Life as Leels that explained perfectly well what do-follow/no-follow links are & how to do it.
And if you missed my tweet or Facebook post about it my How To Be a Mom in 2012-Part 2 was up @ 5 Minutes for Mom this week.
I also tried a delicious pin from this week- I really try a lot of recipes I find on the ‘interest & have been meaning to make a roundup post lately but I must share this shrimp salad recipe NOW because it was sooooo good.
Did you read anything good this week or did you WRITE anything good this week? Link it up in the comments.
Now excuse me while I go get tipsy on some water.

Whatta photo! Cutiepie!
I checked out the links you gave and I must say, that Shrimp salad sandwich is really a must try! It makes me hungry..really.

Adorable photo. I came across one of my teens around age 4 wearing nothing but “mucking boots” – his bare butt facing the camera. (I can’t wait to get all these old photos scanned in :-p
{Oh – I couldn’t get the “faux pas” link to work

I need to read the post on the no-follow versus follow links. I have monetized my blog but it’s still small-time. I haven’t worried too much about google ranking which I think is where the follow-links get penalized. I have a copy of the code we need to use to turn them into no-follow links but just haven’t incorporated that into a media package yet. I suspect that doing so will reduce interest in using mom-bloggers for promotion somewhat….

I need to make it a goal to try out a pinterest recipe I like every 2 weeks, or at least one a month.
There’s some damn good ideas out there.
And I’m so happy to hear you liked the article I shared, I thought she did a great job explaining it, and I was pretty ecstatic to learn about the WP plugin which makes things easy. I like easy.
Great shares! And I think I just wrote you a novel ;/
