Today as you read this my due date has finally arrived & hopefully I have either already gone into labor or will be going into labor verrrry soon. But if I haven’t I didn’t want you all to spend all weekend long frantically checking Facebook & Twitter to see if I’ve popped yet so to occupy your mind I think you should check out the GapKids Shine On event this weekend!

I love GapKids like love it. I think they have reasonably priced clothes for kids that are also very stylish. You know I’ve mentioned before I hate some of the ugly kids clothes that are available, but with GapKids there is never a time I don’t hit the store or website & think “Yuck!”.

For the rest of this month select GapKid stores around the country will be hosting Shine On Saturday Events. These events are designed to allow your kids to unleash their inner artist with special art projects designed by Merrilee Liddiard of Mer Mag.

Your budding little artist will be able to create geometric masterpieces on canvas using different mediums like paint and tape & design their own colorful custom journals that they can use to get ready for back-to-school. All of the projects that they will be working on have been inspired by the GapKids & babyGap fall collections, including the best new 1969 denim - Jewel Box Skinnies for girls {an adorable new skinny jean updated in bright stretchy denim} and a new denim for boys called Action Stretch Denim that are designed for play all day- it’s denim that’s made to move.

The last event for this month in LA is this Saturday {August 25th} from 10 AM until 1 PM at the GapKids in the Glendale Galleria.

We just bought all our uniforms from GapKids- love them! In a city where there are limited family activities, commercially-sponsored activities at the mall are a wonderful thing! Thanks!
