Wave hi {quietly} to the new baby!

Welcome to the blog world everyone my new little muse Caspian Shalom Seven born August 26th @ 12:36 PM. After 6 1/2 hours of labor he swam his 9.6 pound {holy fuck!} body up to me & has barely left my shoulder.

The last two weeks we’ve been getting used to being a family of four & parents of two. The process has left me feeling slightly overwhelmed, run down, battling mastitis & horrible cheek pain, but dammit we’re going to make it after all.

Despite all of that I can tell you that we are so in love, so in love, so in love.

My homebirth was exactly what I wanted & lasted not a minute longer than I could handle THANK BABY JESUS. I’ll be back later in the week to give you all the wonderful details & maybe some unflattering photos from labor & delivery & really tell you how I’ve been handling the postpartum thus far.

In the meantime you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter & the Facebook to get exclusive photos & updates on Cas that are only shared with those who hit “follow” or “like”.

Glad to hear mama’s doing okay, and he’s absolutely beautiful. A perfect fit to your now family of 4.

Look forward to seeing Phoenix holding him, and hearing how he’s adapting.

And also happy you were able to go through with the home birth you’ve dreamed of. Beautiful Alex!

Congratulations!!! I feel your pain, lady. My Aug. 14th babe was 9 lbs 7 oz unmedicated and the whole thing lasted about 7 hrs – very similar! I’m glad you got your home birth experience that you wanted. How is your first dealing with the change? Mine is having a VERY rough go of it!
