I haven’t traditionally worked {meaning driving into an office & punching a clock} in almost 5 years. And of course like the rest of the world I would break down in tears come Sunday night. And now that I don’t work & my husband works from home {our weekends carry over sometimes, spontaneous lunches, naps, movies, whatever} Monday used to not bring me panic.

But lately Monday has been bringing me anxiety. Why? Because the bloggers & readers shut down on Friday afternoon {as it should be} & spend time living outside the computer or occasionally catching up on their reader. I have found it’s not in my best interest to post any of tantalizing new content over the weekend.

So come Sunday night I’m like “BAM. TANTALIZING!” but lately that hasn’t been happening & I freak out & I’m all “O.M.G I have nothing to say!” 

Like today. 

I had a post in mind, I started it but then I stopped it because it felt heavy for Monday & was going nowhere. I was going to start another one that might get me a few laughs or maybe a few scoldings {depends on how your funny bone works} but when I looked down at the clock & saw it was close to 9 all I could think about was darkness, cozy bed with clean linens & an episode of the Secret Circle.

So maybe I’ll use the case of the Monday’s as an excuse to post the funniest pin from Pinterest to get your Monday started off right. Because I know with last nights news we could all use a little laugh.

Obsessing over: 

Christmas! We have no tree, we have no decorations, & I’m coming close to the end of my budget & I’m wishing that it was just December 27th already. Ugh. Have I ever mentioned I’m not a very big Christmas person?

Trying to define my “house style” after like 7 months I am still living in a sparsely decorated condo with PINK walls that I now hate & a vintage sofa that is showing its wear. When it was first decided that we were going to move here it was not something that seemed like it was going to be indefinite. But now it is so what was ok for temporary reasons is now not at.all. Guess what folks? My bed & box spring sits on the floor! Yeah I know its so like, not cool. I don’t really know exactly what I want & how I want to feel when I walk into my house so I’m trying to figure that out so I can start really moving in, in January.

 Anticipating:

The lyrics in this song are exactly how I’m feeling today {meaning 1:31 am Tuesday morning, but really Monday still in my mind}. This is why we bribed Phoenix & I ended up taking a 3 hour nap.

And this week I’m trying to participate in the Kids Clothing Week Challenge. Monday’s goal was to wash, iron, & cut out the fabric. But this didn’t happen. 4 different fabrics. Goal. 2 pieces complete by Friday. Fingers crossed.

Anyone out there?

I hope you guys haven’t completely forgotten about me. For the last two weeks I’ve been in the throws of moving across country.

How did that go you ask?

Pretty good. If you don’t count the mishap going through security with the kitchen knife or the fact we had to break into our own garage that housed our truck, that housed the house keys AND the garage door opener. The embarrassing debacles with our bank (apparently you can’t spend over like $300 on a debit card without the pin number which we didn’t have). Two trips for a TV and THREE different trips for curtains, rugs and miscellaneous at Target.

And pretty good if you don’t count a staph infection for Phoenix & strep throat for me. AND the fact we lived without a refrigerator until yesterday.

AND not to be outdone by the computer that miraculously developed a case of water damage that left me high & dry {no pun intended} for two weeks.

So can you forgive a little radio silence & come back? My stats have been looking pretty lean lately. {kidding}

I’m also having a case of writers block so when you have stumbled & lost your creative hat what do you do to get inspired again?

That is my life right now.

One week from Tuesday we hit the Virgin Airline vessel, pray Phoenix doesn’t throw a tantrum, & start our journey to becoming Californians.

On top of all the packing that needs to be done, my computer has also decided to crap out on me again…third time in 2 years for any of those keeping track. This time a new LCD needed.

Everything in me wants to order a MacBook Pro but a new life in California is taking precedence right now. But I’ve requested one for my birthday.

So nothing exciting for you to see here today & possibly this week. But next week I have some great guest bloggers coming to entertain you while I drive to & fro trying to collect beds, TV’s, dressers, and a refrigerator. Yes. A refrigerator.
